Florida Fun

This morning, the air was crisp and chilly, which was a pleasant surprise. Fall has officially arrived, and I’m not referring to the fall season in Vermont! I’m referring to the fall season in southwest Florida. Outdoor activities such as taking our grandchildren to parks, riding bicycles, and strolling along the ocean are some of my favorite things to do this time of year. But it’s the great fall festivals that I look forward to the most. The pumpkin patches, hayrides, kid-friendly haunted houses, and delicious aromas emanating from the food sellers are among my favorite aspects of the festival. The Hunsader Pumpkin Festival takes held in Bradenton, a community in the broader Sarasota area, over the course of three weekends in October.

Craft shows, live performances, musical entertainment, hayrides, pumpkin cannon gazing, chainsaw sculpting, a playground, a petting zoo, and a pioneer trades village are all included in the admission charge. In addition, there are a variety of food and beverage stands available. One of the most appealing aspects is that children under the age of twelve are admitted free of charge. Face painting, a rock climbing wall, a power leap children’s train ride, bi-plane rides, and a frog jumping championship are among the additional activities available for a modest price.

A pumpkin festival held in Sarasota on the same weekends in October as the Hunsader Festival is called Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Fest. Crafters, pony rides, food & fun corn, pumpkin painting, face painting, hay bales, music, a 40-foot Slip N Slide, cornstalks, mini-train rides, a petting zoo, and a free Torres Family Circus are just a few of the attractions available. Getting Fall Pictures of the Family taken here is a wonderful experience. The event is completely free. The Sarasota Fairgrounds Pumpkin Festival will take place from October 28th to October 30th from 12:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. on the fairgrounds grounds.

The city of Sarasota joins together to celebrate a Festival that is suitable for people of all ages. It’s not uncommon for events to lack variety; but, you’re in for a surprise this year, thanks to all-new entertainment, massive displays, and carving excitement. The 3rd Annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival, Sarasota’s Very Own Halloween Festival, and “the most Family Friendly Festival of all time!” will have a hometown feel to it, and it will be held on October 27th and 28th. This festival is geared toward children, teenagers, and adults, with proceeds benefiting All Children’s Hospital.

It makes its third appearance at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds and is ready to bring back a Halloween Extravaganza that is both family friendly and entertaining. Events that don’t have something for everyone come up all the time; nevertheless, you’re in for a treat with this one. Some of the events you may look forward to include hay rides, a pumpkin patch and maze, pie eating contests, The Flying Pages trapeze shows, train rides, food and craft venders, interactive amusement rides in the Kids Zone, and daily horse shows, to name a few. The Pumpkin Tower and Not-So-Scary Haunted House, as well as safe Trick-or-Treating for the children, will all contribute to the joyful ambiance of the event.
